Two local women's clubs unite for holiday giving

The Women's Club of Milton and the Sunshine Circle Club of Sussex County collaborated this holiday season to purchase gifts for some of the children who may be forgotten at this time.

Both clubs are composed of women who help others in Sussex County, and support and inspire women in their communities.

The two clubs worked with the Prison Fellowship Angel Tree organization, which helps families strengthen relationships that are broken by the incarceration of one or both parents. The holiday gift given to children in these families is intended to show that they are valued and loved. Each gift is delivered with a personal message on behalf of the incarcerated parent(s).

Members of both clubs were assigned children from Angel Tree Christmas. Caregivers were contacted to obtain the holiday gift wishes of each child. The club members then shopped and donated the requested gifts. The wrapped gifts will be delivered to the children before Christmas.
