Exploring the great outdoors with the Cape Gazette

December 13, 2023

Sherry Berman recently wrote to the Cape Gazette after returning from an incredible trip to Utah and Wyoming. “I love traveling with our neighbors in Lewes,” said Sherry. “We just returned from a two-week trip exploring the great outdoors and national parks. In Utah, we visited Canyonlands, Arches, Capitol Reef, Grand Staircase/Escalante Monument, Bryce and Zion, one state park in Utah, Deadhorse, and two national parks in Wyoming, The Grand Tetons and Yellowstone. Every park has its own personality and unique topography. We had fabulous pies at Gifford Pie Store in Capitol Reef, went on an off-road adventure in the Zion (Kanab) area with a stop at Best Friends Animal Sanctuary, stared in awe at the hoodoos, a tall, thin spire of rock formed by erosion, in Bryce, and then in Yellowstone, saw the Grand Canyon of the Yellowstone, Steamboat Geyser, Old Faithful, and finally Grand Prismatic Spring. As you can see in the photo, Old Faithful was erupting right on schedule. The memories will last a lifetime.”
