Blood Bank of Delmarva kicks off Blood for a Brew campaign

May 22, 2024

The Blood Bank of Delmarva kicked off its annual Blood for a Brew blood drive at Dogfish Head in Milton May 20.

Donations were taken in the blood bank’s mobile clinic. Nineteen Delaware breweries are taking part in the campaign, now in its fourth year, which runs through Tuesday, Sept. 10.

It’s intended to help keep hospitals stocked with blood during the summer season, and those who participate receive a free T-shirt and will be automatically entered to win a brewery gift card at the end of the summer.

Among the breweries taking part in the drive are Revelation Craft Brewing in Georgetown, Mispillion River Brewing in Milford and Big Oyster Brewing in Lewes.
