After walking to begin the July 14 game against Millsboro, Chase came all the way around to score and start the party in the 13-4 win. He followed that with a lead-off triple and scored the next at-bat to set the tone in Milton's 5-1 victory over Lower Sussex July 15. The Mariner rising seventh-grader led the team with three hits in the win. Against Nanticoke July 16, Chase started on the mound and struck out eight, surrendering just one hit. He fired 5.1 innings in the 2-0 victory. Chase chipped in with a single in the 9-0 victory over Georgetown July 17 that clinched a spot in the District 3 title game against Lewes.
