The name Rehoboth Beach was derived from a Hebrew word meaning “broad spaces” or “room for all.” Sadly, the mindset of room for all does not seem to hold true in Rehoboth politics, where secrecy and single-mindedness have led to frustrating and expensive outcomes. Extreme tax hikes, silly money for a city manager and, by the way, remember poolgate, where god forbid, summer families enjoy their pools? It is time for voters to stand up to the old guard and choose candidates willing to challenge the status quo to ensure decisions are made thoughtfully, practically and have considered our town’s wide variety of opinions and interests. Suzanne Goode is a candidate who will thoughtfully, creatively and passionately do just that. Our namesake and our wallets are depending on it!
