Beebe Healthcare opened its new Milton Health Center, a walk-in care and outpatient facility, Aug. 5, as part of the new Jerry Ann McLamb Medical Pavilion on Route 16, Milton.
The two-story building contains walk-in care space on the first floor, with 23 exam rooms, and outpatient services on the second floor, such as x-rays, mammograms and ultrasounds. In September, the facility will also include a physical therapy room.
Beebe Healthcare CEO and President Dr. David Tam said, “In one of the fastest-growing areas of Sussex County, this new, comprehensive Milton Health Center will greatly serve the community. As Beebe continues to expand, safe and high-quality care for the people who live, work and visit all of our beautifully diverse communities is at the center of our strategic plans. I’m thrilled for our care team in Milton and for the locals who can access Beebe services even more conveniently.”
The facility does not provide emergency room services, but the internal care services that had been housed at the Clipper Square shopping center have been relocated to the new building and share the first floor with walk-in care.
Beebe hosted an open house for the facility July 31, when 200 guests were able to take guided tours of the building at 23900 Milton Ellendale Highway.
