May 8, 2025

Volunteers from the Villages of Five Points Butterfly Club will hold a plant and bake sale from 9 a.m. to noon, Saturday, May 17 (severe weather date May 18). Items available for purchase will include flowering plants that attract butterflies and other pollinators, as well as homemade baked goods such as cookies, brownies, and small breads and cakes. Purchases can be made with cash or credit card.

Plants for sale will include milkweed for the endangered monarch butterfly, as well as plants that attract other pollinators and/or hummingbirds, such as zinnias, cosmos, lantana, asters, coreopsis, cone flowers and fuchsia. Some hanging baskets will also be available.

In addition to these items, the sale will include dog and cat bandanas, garden-themed microwave bowl cozies, nautical-themed coasters, bookmarks, butterfly-themed table runners and Lewes-themed totes.

Proceeds from the sale benefit the Villages of Five Points Butterfly Club, which establishes and maintains milkweed and other plants that support butterflies. The sale will take place in the parking lot near the intersection of Old Orchard Road and W. Edgemoor Road in the Villages of Five Points, Lewes.
