Surfgimp Foundation receives $1,000 donation

Big Chill Surf Cantina recently donated $1,000 to the Surfgimp Foundation with proceeds raised from its annual Cinco De Mayo celebration, an event featuring tequila, margaritas, live music, giveaways and a mechanical bull. 

The foundation was established in 2017 in memory of Milton resident, quadriplegic and Surfgimp Jay Liesener, to fund grants that reduce financial obstacles for children, teens and adults with disabilities who wish to experience their greatest adventures.

“The Surfgimp Foundation holds a special place in my heart,” said Matt Garbutt, Big Chill brand manager. “The organization is doing so many great things to help individuals in our community get out there, doing the activities and sports they love, through their financial assistance.”
