Milton man charged in setting apartment on fire
A Milton man faces arson and other charges after police say he tried to set an apartment on fire June 13.
Milton police responded at 8:15 p.m. to Park Royal Apartments along with the Milton Fire Department and learned Robbie Robinson, 35, intentionally set the fire in the apartment after a domestic dispute, police said.
Two children in the apartment were able to get away, police said, and Robinson was promptly taken into custody. The Milton Police Department, in collaboration with the Delaware State Fire Marshal's office, obtained warrants through the Justice of the Peace Court 7, and Robinson was charged with three counts of first-degree reckless endangering, and one count of second-degree arson.
He was arraigned by Justice of the Peace Court 7 and committed to the Sussex Correctional Institute in default of $20,000 secured bond.
