Delmarva Christian celebrates Class of 2025 commencement

June 25, 2025

Delmarva Christian High School held its Commencement Ceremony for the Class of 2025 May 23, marking another significant milestone in the school’s ongoing mission to develop young men and women grounded in faith, knowledge and purpose.

The ceremony featured remarks from Valedictorian Taylor Lowe and Salutatorian Layni Dukes, who reflected thoughtfully on their journeys at Delmarva Christian and shared their aspirations for the graduating class as they step into the next chapter of their lives.

For the first time in school history, an alumnus returned as the keynote speaker. Micah Magee, Class of 2016, encouraged graduates to focus on glorifying God and blessing others, concluding with a phrase beloved by the Delmarva Christian community: “It’s not about us; it’s about him.”

Special honors were bestowed upon outstanding students: Ava McCarron received the Royals Service Award, and Kasey Bell was named Royal of the Year, an accolade determined by votes from teachers and administrators. Both honorees were awarded $1,000 scholarships generously sponsored by Chick-fil-A operators from Milford, Millsboro and Rehoboth Beach.

The Class of 2025 achieved remarkable academic success, with members gaining acceptance to 97 different universities and colleges, and earning a total of 70 scholarships.

With this graduating class, Delmarva Christian now celebrates more than 769 alumni prepared to make a positive impact in their communities and beyond. As these graduates move onward, the school community sends them forth with confidence and faith in God’s plan for their lives.
