Teenage siblings top field at Dewey Beach Patrol 5K

The 23rd annual Dewey Beach Patrol 5K was won by 18-year-old Daniel Danilovitz from Moosic, Pa., in a time of 15:50. His sister Lacey, 19, won the women’s race and took fifth overall in 20:06. 

Bill McNary, 52, of Bethesda, Md., won the male masters title in 20:07. 

Kimarie Segiel, 52, of Covington, Pa., won the female masters title in 24:22. Her two sons – Sebastian, 21, and Christian, 18 – ran 21:32 and 21:54, repsectively. 

Jules Woodall, 77, the Seven Sisters Hall of Famer, won the 75-79 age group in 33:44. April Anderson, 80, of Millsboro won her age group in 43:27. Angela Messick, 36, of Milton won the 35-39 age group in 25:10. 

The next Races2Run event at the beach is the Dewey Beach Liquors 5K at Northbeach, set for 7:30 a.m., Friday, July 4.
