Delaware Farm Bureau and University of Delaware Cooperative Extension will host an agritourism bus tour Thursday, Aug. 14.
Guests will visit four farms in northern Delaware, and nearby Pennsylvania and New Jersey. Each site is known for its farm markets, seasonal festivals, U-cut flowers, U-pick fruits and hayrides.
Guided tours at each farm will give participants an inside look at daily operations, along with helpful tips and strategies that contribute to their success.
Destinations are Duffield’s Farm & Market in Sewell, N.J.; Linvilla Orchards in Media, Pa.; Mood’s Farm Market in Mullica Hill, N.J.; and Ramsey’s Farm in Wilmington.
Tickets include lunch provided by one of the host farm markets. Seating is limited and available by reservation only, so early registration is encouraged.
Attendees can choose their preferred bus pickup location: at 6:30 a.m. in the parking lot outside Boscov’s at 1365 N. Dupont Highway, Dover; or 7:30 a.m. at the Amtrak parking lot, 10 Mopar Road, Newark.
