Teens charged in Rehoboth Beach scooter theft, stealing from tip jar

Two Seaford teens face theft charges after Rehoboth Beach police said they stole two electric scooters and money from a local business tip jar on Rehoboth Avenue.
The boys, 15 and 17, were charged with two counts of theft under $1,500 and third-degree conspiracy.
Police said about 5:30 p.m., July 18, the boys stole two electric scooters in the 400 block of Rehoboth Avenue. Police said they also stole cash from a tip jar of a business located on the ocean block of Rehoboth Avenue.
The boys were released to the custody of a guardian.
