GameBreaker Lacrosse Camp held at Beacon Middle School

Four-day camp set to return July 28-31 for both boys and girls looking to learn
July 24, 2025

A few local laxers took advantage of the first GameBreaker Lacrosse Camp of the summer season July 14-17 at Beacon Middle School.

Both boys and girls braved the heat to learn more about a game with near limitless solutions to near limitless problems. While the finished product in both the men’s and women’s games looks like a polished speed train, it takes camps like GameBreaker and countless hours to arrive on that scene.

At GameBreaker, campers learn the basics, if they need to, and sharpen up their expanding skill sets with defensive, groundball, dodging, shooting and clearing drills. Campers have the chance to work on their stick skills, fine-tuning their mechanics to address any bad habits. The triangle offense, which emphasizes immediate options on either side, is taught, and laxers have a chance to go over various man-up/man-down situations. Face-offs, one of the most important aspects of the game, are also reviewed, and the kids learn how to win them inside, or how to provide support on the outside.

For those who missed out on the first camp, Mark Duncan will be back at Beacon Middle School July 28-31, for the final camp of the summer season.

GameBreakers welcomes all levels and abilities. More information is available at laxcamps.com.
