Rehoboth Beach man faces drug and gun charges following search of Baltimore Avenue home

A Rehoboth Beach man faces drug and weapon charges July 31 after a search of a Baltimore Avenue home.

Members of the Sussex County Drug Unit, Sussex County Governor’s Task Force, Delaware State Police Special Operations Response Team and the Rehoboth Beach Police Department executed a search warrant at the Baltimore Avenue home in connection with the distribution of illegal narcotics from the residence. During the search warrant, police said, they detained Steve Pagan, 47. Two children were also in the residence at the time of the search warrant, police said.

Inside the home and through a search of vehicles, police said they found about 22.21 grams of cocaine, about 28 grams of psilocybin mushrooms, 56 dosage units of dihydrotestosterone, about 4.1 grams of testosterone, about 3 grams of trenbolone, about 1.5 grams of Nandrolone, a .45-caliber handgun and ammunition; a 9mm handgun and ammunition, and $3,104 in suspected drug proceeds.

Pagan, who is a person prohibited from possessing a firearm or ammunition, was taken to Troop 4 where he was charged with two counts of possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony; two counts possession of a firearm/destructive weapon within 10 years of a felony conviction; two counts possession of a firearm/ammunition by a person prohibited; possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance, tier 2; possession of a controlled substance, tier 3; possession of a controlled substance, Tier 2; three counts possession of a controlled substance, tier 1; possession of a controlled or counterfeit substance except human growth hormone without a prescription; possession of drug paraphernalia; unsafe storage of a firearm; and two count endangering the welfare of a child. He was arraigned by Justice of the Peace Court 2, and committed to Sussex Correctional Institution in default of $85,100 cash bond.
