Sussex Preservation Coalition to meet Aug. 12

August 7, 2025

The Sussex Preservation Coalition will meet at 7 p.m., Tuesday, Aug. 12, at Lewes Public Library, 111 Adams Ave., Lewes, and online via Zoom.

Jill Hicks, coalition president, will lead a discussion on the draft recommendations of the Land Use Reform Working Group appointed by Sussex County Council in February. The 10-member working group has been tasked with analyzing land-use development in Sussex County and recommending updates to the county code and comprehensive land-use plan that result in smarter and more sustainable development practices. Time will be allotted for attendees to ask questions.

The Sussex Preservation Coalition consists of individuals and local environmental groups dedicated to preserving and protecting local ecosystems.
