Local teen author to appear at National Book Festival Sept. 6

A book by Máximo César Castellanos, a 16-year-old bilingual author from Georgetown, has been chosen by the Delaware Center for the Book to be included in the Great Reads from Great Places list for the 2025 National Book Festival of the Library of Congress.

The selected book, “Dr. Pren and the Days of his Childhood,” is one of 11 titles Castellanos has written. 

He will represent the First State and sign copies of his book during the festival Saturday, Sept. 6, in Washington, D.C.
