Lord Baltimore Lions add five new members

The Lord Baltimore Lions Club welcomed five new members at its August meeting.

New members are Barkley Heck and Lori Hudson, sponsored by Ray Wockley; Linda Ungerleider, sponsored by Tony Rinauldo; Patricia Brinsfield, sponsored by Claire Noble; and Kathleen Franke, sponsored by Scott Brannan, past president and new membership chair.

Presiding at the induction ceremony was Karl Gude, past district governor, assisted by Lions John Monahan and Scott Brannan.

Also in attendance were recipients of Lord Baltimore Lions Club nursing school scholarships, Lillie Golub of Millsboro and Jamesia Alphonse of Delmar, along with Tracy Bell, Margaret H. Rollins School of Nursing at Beebe Healthcare program coordinator. Since 2011, the club has presented scholarships to senior nursing students residing in Sussex County who need financial support, and have demonstrated a caring and professional attitude. All were recognized and applauded for their commitment to helping others.

The Lord Baltimore Lions Club has served the communities of Bethany Beach, Clarksville, Dagsboro, Frankford, Millville and Ocean View since 1946.
