September 21, 2025

The Rehoboth Beach Film Society, in partnership with CAMP Rehoboth, will present the 2025 Pride Film Festival, spotlighting LGBTQ+ documentaries, features and international films from Thursday to Sunday, Oct. 9 to 12, at the Cinema Art Theater.

Of the documentaries, features and international titles selected, the festival kicks with the crime thriller “Pooja Sir,” a short films block, Denmark drama “Sauna,” and opening night film “Strange Journey: The Story of Rocky Horror.” “Strange Journey’ documents the evolution of a London theater play into the groundbreaking cult phenomenon, featuring iconic songs and performances that celebrate individuality.

Friday screenings will include another shorts block and three films including “Sally!” which will be followed by a virtual discussion with filmmaker Deborah Alice Craig.

A reception at 6:45 p.m. Saturday, precedes the screening of “Humans of Pride,” a documentary capturing the once-in-a-generation moment in New York City when WorldPride came to the United States for the first time to commemorate 50 years since the Stonewall Riots.

A mimosa brunch is set for 12 p.m., before the screenings of “The True Story of Tamara De Lempicka and the Art of Survival,” “It’s Dorothy” and “Peter Hujar’s Day.”
