The Women’s Club of Milton’s Fundraising Committee is busy preparing for its annual Milton Holiday House Tour, the club’s largest fundraiser of the year. The club will host the tour from 2 to 6 p.m., Saturday, Dec. 13.
The Milton Holly Festival will run from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., Dec. 13. The women’s club will also hold a bake sale at the festival featuring delicious home-baked goods and the club’s Gift Card Extravaganza raffle.
This year, the Milton Holiday House Tour includes seven of the town's most delightful homes, both historic and new, as well as a local bank and an aircraft hangar. Three historic public buildings, the Milton Historical Society and Museum, Milton Town Hall and Milton Arts Guild, are also open for exploration. All will be beautifully decorated for the season.
The Women’s Club of Milton welcomes tour-goers to experience Milton’s Walkable, Livable, Unforgettable community atmosphere. Proceeds from the tour enable the club to award scholarships, fund town needs for children and teens, and support other nonprofit services. Through the generosity of its supporters, the club awarded four $3,000 scholarships to high school graduates from Milton this year.
Tickets cost $25 in advance and will be available starting Saturday, Nov. 1, at the Mercantile at Milton and at Lewes Gourmet in Lewes.
Tickets on tour day will cost $30, and they will be available from the Mercantile at Milton, and the Milton Historical Society and Museum.
Founded in 1890, the Women's Club of Milton is a member of the General Federation of Women's Clubs, one of the world’s oldest and largest women's service organizations dedicated to community improvement through volunteer service.
