The Atlantic Fields shopping center will have a big impact on local mom-and-pop shops as well as many other same type product line stores that can’t compete and will be forced to close.

The immediate area has two large senior communities on Mulberry Knoll Road served by an infrastructure that’s already terribly inadequate, as well as nearby elementary and middle schools.
Our unsafe carriage horse roads, most over a century old, are already overloaded, particularly during holidays and in season.
Added semis and fuel delivery tankers, necessary for supply, would be a catastrophe in the making in both vehicular traffic and fuel spillage situations, affecting the environment and water table.
Sussex County Council and P&Z have a lot on their plates with this application. Hopefully they can recognize the disaster in this terrible application and defend against deep-pocketed developer greed.
Outside town away from schools, medical facilities and populace is the place for these type establishments, certainly not residential areas affecting quality of life and homeowner property values.
