Harlem Wizards to play hoops with Cape Crusaders Nov. 8

October 24, 2025

The Rehoboth Beach Sunrise Rotary Club will sponsor a basketball game between the Cape Crusaders and the Harlem Wizards Saturday, Nov. 8, at Cape Henlopen High School, Lewes. Doors open at 6 p.m. with tip-off at 7 p.m.

The Harlem Wizards are a professional basketball team whose players, rather than focusing on winning games, deliver wildly successful fundraiser events for schools and nonprofits across the United States.

To complement the Wizards’ dazzling demonstration of hoops artistry, interactive extras include contests, comedy, awesome slam dunks, audience participation and more. The game will conclude with the Wizards’ signature dance celebration that will have adults on their feet and kids moving to the beat.

The Cape Crusaders are a local team consisting of Cape Henlopen School District teachers, administrators and support personnel, along with community leaders. They will challenge the Wizards, and all proceeds from the game will benefit the Sunrise Rotary and Cape Henlopen High School Interact Club.

“We are thrilled to host the Wizards again, for the fifth year,” said Gail Dejmal, Rotary member. “Each year's game is a huge success, and we look forward to more Wizards magic!"
