Laurel man dies in crash near Harbeson
A Laurel man died following a two-car crash Oct. 16 on Route 9 near Harbeson.
Police said a Honda Civic driven by Guidel Ramirez-Lopez, 25, was heading westbound on Route 9 east of Gravel Hill Road about 6:15 p.m. when it crossed into the eastbound lane into the path of an Audi A4 driven by a Hockessin woman, 18, colliding head-on with the Audi.
Ramirez-Lopez was not properly restrained, and he was taken to an area hospital where he later died.
The driver of the Audi was taken to an area hospital with nonlife-threatening injuries.
Route 9 was closed while the crash was investigated and cleared.
