Has anyone noticed there are three different speed limits on Route 1 south between Cave Neck Road and the Nassau Bridge during this construction? The speed limits are 50 mph, 55 mph and 45 mph at the bridge. I think DelDOT needs to address this. In my opinion, the speed limit should be no greater than 45 mph in this stretch of Route 1 for the safety of drivers and the construction workers.
As an aside, the speed cameras cannot come quickly enough. Once drivers start getting speeding tickets exceeding $100, hopefully it will deter them from going 70 to 80 mph on Route 1.
