Rehoboth Elementary hosts multilingual learner family night
Rehoboth Elementary School welcomed new and returning families Oct. 20 for a fun and informative multilingual learner family night.
Families and children connected with staff to learn about school procedures, rules and expectations, and engage in activities that promote success both in and out of the classroom. They participated in hands-on, make-and-take activity sessions, creating materials and games designed to support reading, writing and math practice at home.
With the guidance of Cape Henlopen High School volunteer Amanda Lima-Rodrigues and Rehoboth Elementary teachers Kim Cross, Victoria Ksebe and Samantha Buttridge, families explored strategies to reinforce learning while building confidence in their children’s academic abilities. The evening served as both a celebration of community and a valuable opportunity to empower families with the tools and knowledge to help their children grow and succeed throughout the school year.
