Cape Henlopen Elks hold Youth Soccer Shoot

Cape Henlopen Elks Lodge 2540 recently hosted its Youth Soccer Shoot at Sandhill Fields in Georgetown. 

This fun, free and competitive program promotes physical fitness, teamwork and sportsmanship for youth.

A total of 72 children participated in the skill-based contests, divided into four age categories.

In the age 7 and under category, winners are first- and second-place boys Jordi Farrera and Yandery Rivera Niz, and first- and second-place girls Vae Caruthers and Lily Schrock.

In the 8-9-year-old category, winners are first- and second-place boys Lucas Schultz and Christian Lopez, and first- and second-place girls Carys Olachea and Briella Rivera.

In the 10-11-year-old category, winners are first- and second-place boys Luke Underwood and Anthony Lopez, and first- and second-place girls Ashlynn Kelley and Sophia Mazzetti.

In the 12-13-year-old category, winners are first- and second-place boys Atalay Bilek and Wyatt Heritage, and first- and second-place girls Isabella Iarussi and London Nichols.

First-place winners were eligible to advance to the district level.
