Parish Thrift Shop Rehoboth moving sale continues thru Jan. 3
The Parish Thrift Shop Rehoboth is closing its longtime location in the Bay Mart Center on the Forgotten Mile.
In 2026, the Parish Thrift Shop Harbeson will open at 26804 Lewes Georgetown Hwy., west of Lewes.
The Parish Thrift Shop Midway will remain open and will also become the main donation drop-off location for the Rehoboth area.
Meanwhile, to liquidate the merchandise at the Rehoboth shop, a customer appreciation sale of 25% off all purchases continues through Saturday, Nov. 22. The discount increases to 40% off all purchases Monday, Nov. 24 through Wednesday, Dec. 17. Discounts increase to 50% off all purchases Thursday, Dec. 18, and increase to 75% off Monday, Dec. 22, until the last day of business Monday, Jan. 3.
Store hours at both shops are 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., Monday to Saturday. Both stores are closed Wednesday and Thursday, Dec. 24 and 25, for the Christmas holidays.
Saturday, Dec. 13, is the last day donations will be taken at the Rehoboth location. Beginning Monday, Dec. 15, donations will be accepted only at the Midway location, behind the store.
The shop originally opened its doors in the All Saints’ Parish Hall in downtown Rehoboth as a small thrift ministry to assist those in need in the community. When it eventually outgrew that space, the shop first moved to Route 1 just outside town before relocating to the Bay Mart Center where it continued to expand. Through the years, the love, support and goodwill of the community have helped this mission of the Episcopal Parish of All Saints' Church & St. George's Chapel to grow sevenfold. Volunteers, staff, donors, customers and supporters have helped the entity disburse millions of dollars to charitable organizations in the Sussex County community for over 24 years. A second location in the Midway Shopping Center opened almost two years ago.
The parish purchased the Harbeson property in September. The space is currently being modified, renovated and repaired to accommodate the thrift shop, along with a donation and processing center. The goal is to be up and running in the spring.
