Local teen author Castellanos to sign books Dec. 7

Browseabout Books will host a signing event with 17-year-old local author Máximo César Castellanos at 2 p.m., Sunday, Dec. 7, in Rehoboth Beach.

Castellanos will sign copies of his newest release, “Kingsley: First Act.”

What began on Christmas Eve as a simple case turned out to be much bigger than anyone could have imagined. Gary has always wanted to be known as the best detective of all time, but he is forced to work with another detective to solve a case in just one hour. As the two detectives follow the clues, they become involved with unexpected characters, including a magical creature, a maid and a Calamity. As the investigation unfolds in the town of Kingsley, Gary will have to choose between friendship and fame.

Born in Delaware and raised speaking Spanish as his first language, Castellanos has already written, illustrated, translated and published 24 books, 12 in Spanish and 12 in English. His recognitions earned include eight medals from the International Latino Book Awards over the past five years.
