Dewey Lions host Snow Bowl for Sussex Consortium students

Students from the Cape Henlopen School District’s Sussex Consortium recently enjoyed making memories at Milford Bowling Lanes during an outing made possible through the generosity of the Dewey Beach Lions Club.

The annual Snow Bowl trip offers students a chance to engage in a fun, supportive environment while strengthening social skills, teamwork and community connections.

Students shared laughs, celebrated strikes and spares, and built confidence alongside peers and staff. Dewey Lions members were on hand to cheer on students and ensure the day was inclusive and enjoyable, reflecting the strong partnership between the club and the school district. The Lions also provided lunch, drinks, and snacks for students throughout the event.

“This event is always about more than bowling; it is about belonging, joy and community,” said Dr. Vivian Bush, Sussex Consortium principal. “We are incredibly grateful to the Dewey Beach Lions Club for their continued partnership in making this experience possible for our students.”
