Author Shannon Gill Burnett will be on hand to sign her latest book, “The Odyssey of a Bad Mother,” from 1:30 to 3:30 p.m., Saturday, March 14, at Browseabout Books in Rehoboth Beach.
The story takes place in 1982 in Bellevue, Wash., just outside Seattle. Set against the backdrop of Bill Gates' rise, MS-DOS and the European expansion of Microsoft, it takes a look at three flawed women in the affluent Parkside community who are all deemed bad mothers.
They come together in a desperate quest to find answers after the kidnapping of one of their sons, Ryan McKinnon. With no clues, no answers and little hope, these three mothers work to find out what happened to him.
