After closing for a short renovation, the Old Ice House Liquors on Rehoboth Avenue Extended has reopened as Rehoboth Liquors.
The liquor store has been serving Rehoboth Beach for decades. Prior to its current location, it was located 500 yards to the east on the other side of the Lewes-Rehoboth Canal drawbridge in what is now the Rehoboth Beach Historical Society & Museum. The liquor store opened as McQuay’s Ice House Liquors in 1982, before moving in 2003.
According to sales information on the Sussex County website, the property, 37235 Rehoboth Ave. Ext., was sold to JAGL Ventures LLC, which has an address in Vienna, Va., in April 2025 for $1.575 million.
