Dover man charged with felony quantity of drugs in Delaware Seashore Park

A Dover man faces drug charges April 16 after police say he had a felony quantity of drugs while at state park south of Dewey Beach.

An officer with Delaware Natural Resources Police saw an unregistered vehicle in a parking area of the Delaware Seashore State Park and learned the driver did not have a valid driver’s license, police said.

Before the vehicle was towed, police said they searched the vehicle and found 37.6 grams of suspected methamphetamine, 3.6 grams of suspected amphetamine, and 4.5 grams of suspected heroin.

Marc L. Cushman, 45, was arrested and charged with felony possession of a controlled substance in tier 3 quantity; manufacture, deliver, or possess with intent to manufacture or deliver a controlled substance in tier 3 quantity; two counts of possess, consume a controlled or counterfeit substance; possession of drug paraphernalia not related to personal use quantity marijuana; failure to pay admittance fee; and other vehicle violations.

He was arraigned by Justice of the Peace Court 2 and committed to Sussex Correctional Institution in default of a $10,000 secured bond.
