Delaware MS Society begins office hours in Sussex in September

Second and fourth Monday of each month
August 3, 2012

Starting in September, the Delaware Chapter of the National Multiple Sclerosis Society will expand its reach in lower Delaware by offering regular office hours at the Easter Seals facility at 22317 DuPont Blvd., Georgetown. Office hours will be from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on the second and fourth Monday of each month.

The purpose of these office hours is to better serve the MS populations in Sussex County by increasing the number of service providers, developing collaborative relationships through community outreach and growing client programs in lower Delaware.

“With our main office located in Wilmington, it can be difficult to know what support and services clients in Sussex County need most,” said Debra Veenema, director of programs and services for the Delaware Chapter. “For that reason, we are very grateful to Easter Seals for the use of their space. The opening of this office represents an important step in both supporting our Sussex County clients and furthering our partnership with Easters Seals Delaware and Maryland’s Eastern Shore.”

“As a longtime provider of services to people living with MS, Easter Seals welcomes the opportunity to work with the MS Society to improve outreach and support to Sussex County. This collaboration is a natural extension of the partnership we’ve enjoyed with the MS Society through the years,” said Pam Reuther, vice president of programs and Sussex County director for Easter Seals.
