Mary Jane Goodge Hudson, retired manager
Mary Jane Goodge Hudson, 66, of Millsboro passed away in the care of her sons at Bayhealth Milford Memorial Hospital, Monday, Aug. 27, 2012. Born in Newark, Aug. 3, 1946, she was the daughter of the late George and Jane Hudson Robinson.
She was a retired manager of several restaurants. In later years, she worked as a caretaker for several clients. She was a member of St. Paul’s Episcopal Church in Georgetown. She loved sports, reading, was a big baseball fan and loved movies. She loved to go antique-ing and going to the beach. She was especially dedicated to her family, and loved spoiling her boys!
In addition to her parents, she was preceded by her husband, William Hudson, in 1990; and her friend and companion, Ronnie Dukes in 2012. She is survived by her three sons: Glyn Goodge Jr., Robert Goodge and his wife Kimberly, and Brian Goodge, all of Georgetown; and two grandchildren: Adam Sockeriter and Ian Goodge. She also leaves behind her sister Sally Carney of Bethany Beach. She also is survived by her nephews: Art, Steve, and Dave Carney, as well as many cousins, friends, and extended family across the area.
A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m., Friday, Aug. 31, at Union Cemetery in Georgetown, with Pastor Robert Hudson officiating. The family welcomes floral tributes, as Mary Jane loved flowers.
