Rip Tide instructors find success in California

Rip Tide Brazilian Jiu Jitsu head instructor Shawn Bodio and assistant instructor Dalton Tyndall competed Sept. 8 in the International Brazilian Jiu Jitsu Federations U.S. National Championships in California.

Dalton had to fight in the biggest division of the day and had an incredible performance, submitting his first two opponents.

Bodio won the coveted U.S. National Championships.

“The competition was some of the toughest I have seen,” he said. “I am very lucky and thankful to have a great team here in Lewes/Harbeson. If it wasn’t for them and their training, I would never be able to compete at this level. Thank you, Rip Tide team members!”

Rip Tide Martial Arts offers classes for kids and adults, from beginner to advanced. Classes offered are Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, Mixed Martial Arts and Muay Thai Kickboxing.

Rip Tide also has a Kids' Bully Proof program for ages 5-12.
