Nancy L. White, office manager
Nancy L. White, 74, of Milton, passed away peacefully at home Friday, Dec. 14, 2012.
Born in Milton, Aug. 19, 1938, the daughter of the late Howard Freeman Bailey and Melba (Copes) Bailey, Nancy graduated from Milton High School and then proceeded to work for several years with her husband Dr. James C. White as an office manager in his podiatry office. She was also a member of Goshen United Methodist Church, the Milton Century Club, and the ladies auxiliary of the Milton Volunteer Fire Company for many years.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her loving husband of 40 years, Dr. James “Doc” White; brothers John Bailey, Howard I. Bailey, George W. Bailey, Cecil Bailey, Jimmy Bailey and Richard Bailey; sisters Bettyann Johnson, Shirley Jane Adams, and Vera Foraker.
Mrs. White is survived by her daughters Dana Hiester and husband Brad, Donna Wilson, Trudy White Schuyler; son Charles Arnsy White; brothers Donald L. Bailey and Clarence “Jigger” Bailey and his wife Louise; seven grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m., Thursday Dec. 20, in the chapel of Short Funeral Services, 416 Federal St., Milton, where friends may call after noon. Interment will be in Goshen Cemetery, Milton.
