Sherman the Shorebird visits Eagles Nest

Sherman the Shorebird paid a visit to Eagles Nest Christian Academy Feb. 7. Sherman and Shorebirds Community Relation and Marketing Director Shawn Schoolcraft were at the school to read to the students and present a check for $1,000 for the school's Best Attendance record at the Shorebirds School Night.
The school and the Shorebirds sponsored a Hit the Books student challenge that provided two Shorebirds tickets for reading four books during the challenge. ENCA had the most students attend the game out of 100 Delmarva schools that participated in the program. Shown reading the book “Sherman at the Bat,” adapted from “Casey at the Bat,” is Schoolcraft as Sherman acts out the book.
