Family Fun Day in Milton draws a crowd
August 22, 2013
Co-sponsored by the Milton Fire Department and Ladies Auxiliary, Milton Public Library, Milton Lions Club and the Milton Historical Society, about 600 locals and visitors came out to enjoy free food and entertainment at Family Fun Day. Face painting and Milton Lions Club's mini funnel cakes were new events added this year.
MHS demonstrated button making and rope making to show the kids how these items were made in the past. Snippy Doodles the clown created baloon sculptures. "Explore a vehicle" had a race car, tractors, vintage fire truck, police car, paramedic truck and the forestry division was on hand. Three fire trucks were on a continuous loop through town and the Lions Club's Milton Clipper was at full capacity most of the day.
