La Esperanza receives M&T Bank grant for Family Development Program

La Esperanza recently received $7,500 from the M&T Charitable Foundation to support its Family Development Program, which assists Latino families and children by providing access to housing and employment, translation and interpretation services, transportation, legal assistance and accompaniment to social service agencies, adult education classes, youth programs, and emergency assistance.
Through the Family Development Program, La Esperanza serves approximately 10,000 individuals per year including children and also offers community outreach and natal care services for Latina women, serving approximately 2,000 women each year.
