Millsboro girl wins awards at international talent show
Quinn McColgan of Millsboro, who attends Worcester Preparatory School in Berlin, Md., won numerous awards at the annual International Modeling and Talent Association’s event held July 19-25 in New York and was named the most sought-after actress. The association is an organization of leading model/talent training centers and agencies of the fashion and talent industry.
More than 200 top fashion and talent agents, casting directors and industry professionals participated as judges and scouts in the action-packed weeklong international event. Ashton Kutcher, Katie Holmes, Elijah Wood, Drew Tyler Bell, Alyson Stoner and Sean William Scott are just a few of the celebrities who have been discovered via the International Modeling and Talent Association (IMTA).
Quinn’s agent, Susan Liebesman, director of Barbizon of Philadelphia in Ardmore, Pa., is filtering offers from top talent agencies around the world. When asked about her experience, Quinn said, “I loved every minute I had on stage. It was amazing! I wish I could do the IMTA again.”
Liebesman said, “Quinn is one of those kids that you know with the right training and direction will be a star. She is one of the most focused and enthusiastic kids I have worked with in a long time.”
Like most children, Quinn has an array of hobbies, which include dancing at Sussex Dance Academy, singing, reading, hiking and playing with her friends. Her mother, Noelle McColgan, is very excited and said, “Barbizon was a wonderful experience for Quinn.
