Architectural engineering technology, construction management, and architectural engineering interior design students and faculty from Delaware Technical Community College attended the NeoCon East design expo and conference at the Baltimore Convention Center Oct. 30.
NeoCon East is the largest commercial interiors expo and conference on the East Coast for the architectural and design community. Architects, interior designers and industry professionals convene to discuss innovation in design and sustainability. Students were exposed to state-of-the-art products and cutting-edge design practices.
Students also toured the School of Architecture & Planning at Morgan State University in Baltimore, Md., and met Morgan State University faculty and students. Gabriel Kroiz, associate professor and undergraduate department chair, presented on the built environment, holistic design, and urban planning.
Daniel Johnson, a student in Delaware Tech’s architectural engineering technology program said, “I plan to finish my degree at Delaware Tech and continue my education at Morgan State University because of the Academic Common Market [in-state tuition], short commute and excellent program.”
