Delaware Tech music festival and mental health fair draws 600 attendees
The Happiness Project for Music and Mental Health featured 13 musical performers March 4 at Delaware Technical Community College’s Owens Campus in Georgetown.
The music festival and mental health awareness event was free and open to the general public and attracted approximately 600 people. In addition to the musical performers, 14 local mental health organizations including Brandywine Counseling, Crisis Intervention Services, Kent Sussex Community Services and the Delaware Council on Gambling Problems participated in a resource fair, offering attendees information on the services they provide the community.
Performers included Rehoboth Beach rock group The Dug, local punk bands Fussy Pink and It’s Not Rocket Science, New Jersey natives Nalani & Sarina, Pennsylvania duo Danielle & Jennifer, and Annapolis, Md. singer-songwriters Jocelyn Faro, Jason Masi and Alicia Rae.
