Barbara P. Woodward, administrative assistant
Ms. Barbara Phoebe Woodward, 79, of Cedar Bluff, Ala., died Sunday, April 12, 2015, at her residence.
Ms. Woodward was born Nov. 20, 1935, in Baltimore, Md., daughter of the late John Roop Woodward and Marie Louise LaPorte. She was a member of St. Joseph’s On The Mountain Episcopal Church in Mentone, Ala., and prior to her retirement, worked as an administrative assistant with the Cherokee County Historical Museum in Centre, Ala. She loved the beach and to collect seashells, bird watching, and gardening.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her daughters, Phoebe Klaire Mear and Allison Neidig Mear; a sister, Mary Grace Dunavent; a brother, Samuel Roop Woodward; a niece, Clair Tomlinson; and a nephew, Billy Sutton.
Ms. Woodward is survived by her daughters and sons-in-law, Karen M. and Robert C. Graulich, and Marcy Rogers LaFavor and Clyde Dildine; sisters, Edith Longley and Jane Sutton; grandchildren, Emily and Chris Morrison, Sarah and Jason Heston, Nathan and Shon Graulich, Noah and Mandi Graulich, Brandon Clark LaFavor, Daniel Lee LaFavor, Amberly Hope LaFavor, Allen Thomas LaPorte LaFavor, and Noah Alexander Dildine; great-grandchildren, Kenneth Morrison, Ellie Morrison, Kaden Morrison, Natalie Heston, Annie Heston, Harlee Graulich, Diesel Graulich, and Ava Graulich. Several nieces and nephews also survive.
In accordance with her wishes, Ms. Woodward was cremated and a private memorial service will be held at a later date.
