Palate Café and Catering cut the ribbon at their restaurant in the Shops at Seacoast May 15 in a ceremony sponsored by the Lewes Chamber of Commerce.
Owners Gary and Lorraine Papp have been in the restaurant business for over 30 years. The husband and wife team worked as chefs at The Buttery from 1994 to 2008, when they opened up their catering business, Essential Chef.
The Papps are big proponents of local farm to table ingredients. Using businesses like Hattie's Garden, Old World Breads, Fifer Orchards and fresh pasta from Hari Cameron, Palate serves fresh, organic, slow-raised meals. Palate also offers Gourmet to Go meals.
