Second Street Players to present 'Faith County' starting July 10 in Milford

July 8, 2015

Good old Southern fun will come to the Riverfront Theater when the Second Street Players present the summer comedy "Faith County" Friday through Saturday, July 10-12, and July 17-19. Friday and Saturday performances are at 7 p.m., and Sunday performances are at 3 p.m.

"Faith County" is written by Mark Landon Smith. It takes place somewhere in the middle of nowhere in the South, a place where the beehive hairdo is still the rage, and Saturday nights are reserved for the tractor pull in nearby Pickler. Audiences will visit with a colorful collection of good ole' country folk who gather 'round for this year's county fair - and will  learn that there's stiff competition in the arts and crafts category. "Faith County" enjoyed a 35-week run on WLYX, and was featured on the television special, Dateline.

Directors Sean and Julie Finley and a cast of talented actors bring this hilarious southern comedy to the Riverfront stage. "Faith County" will make audiences laugh so hard, they'll  be running to the outhouse. All performances will be held at the Riverfront Theater, 2 S. Walnut St. Milford, De. Tickets are $17 and can be purchased at brownpapertickets.com or by calling 800-838-3006.
