While Rehoboth Beach just completed a highly competitive election, neighboring Henlopen Acres will go without an election this year.
Incumbents Andrew Brittingham and Paddy Richards were the only candidates to file this year and will retain their seats for another three years.
Richards has served as a commissioner since 2007, when she was appointed to fill the remaining year-and-a-half of Matt McDermott’s term. She was reelected to her first full term in 2009 and has won reelection twice more since.
Brittingham will be serving his second term; he has been a commissioner since 2012, when at age 23 he ran unopposed.
Richards and Brittingham will be sworn in at the commissioners’ annual organizational meeting, 10 a.m., Tuesday, Sept. 8, at Town Hall.
