Arts in the Estuary set Sept. 26 at St. Jones Reserve, Dover
Mispillion Art League will present Arts in the Estuary from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., Saturday, Sept. 26, at the St. Jones Reserve National Estuarine Research Reserve, 818 Kitts Hummock Road, Dover.
This festival offers wonderful photo and interview opportunities, with Delaware artists, photographers, woodcarvers, and musicians who draw inspiration from the state’s estuaries.
A Sunset Scene art class will be held from 12 to 1:30 p.m. Attendees will create a sunset scene using reeds and cattails. The painting will be completed on a canvas using acrylics. Artist Erica Rae will lead participants step by step to complete a colorful sunset scene. No experience is necessary. The cost is $20 per person and includes all supplies. This class is open to children 9 years old through adults. Preregistration is required as the class is limited to 15 participants. To register, go to www.mispillionarts.org.
