The Friends of Holts Landing State Park, created one year ago, is still working hard to keep trails clean and visitors returning to the quiet, wooded park along the Indian River Bay.
Since the group was founded, volunteers have worked to bring visitors and families back to the park by hosting family events, cleaning up trails, installing new signs and trail markers and making other improvements.
The group will continue with cleanups, with the next event set for 9 a.m., Saturday, Nov. 14. Additional trail days are scheduled for the second Saturday of each month through May.
