Keynote speaker at the anniversary celebration was Delaware Health and Social Services Secretary Rita Landgraf. In her address she said, "The SCHPC exists to enhance the entire community in collaboration with family-focused effort to improve the health of children, youth and families in Sussex County." The mission statement of the Sussex County Health Promotion Coalition is to engage the entire community in collaborative, family-focused efforts to improve the health of children, youth and families in Sussex County.
