Forney, Beach wed in Lewes

February 25, 2011

Meredith Lankford Forney and Robert Joseph Beach celebrated their wedding vows Saturday, Sept. 25, 2010, in the Canalfront Park in Lewes, surrounded by family and friends.

The Rev. Donald McCann served as officiant for the service, which also included music by the bride’s sister and her husband, Megan and Ross McGilvray, and traditional hymns accompanied by the bride’s aunt, Mary Paterson. Richard Perez fired a two-blast ceremonial cannon salute when McCann pronounced the couple man and wife, and a four-piece marching band led the kazoo-playing wedding crowd to a reception afterward at the Lewes Historical Complex.

Meredith and Rob live in Annapolis and are planning a wedding trip to Vietnam in the spring.  A landscape architect with Campion Landscape Architecture in Annapolis, Meredith is the daughter of Becky and Dennis Forney of Lewes. Rob, the son of Kathie McGraw of Earlville, Md. and Joseph Beach of Bel Air, Md., serves as director of community building and web services for the Chesapeake Bay Foundation in Annapolis.
